One of the best things about having a pet is the companionship they offer. Many of the idealized dreams of pet owners have been destroyed by the inability to properly house train a new puppy or dog. This is unfortunate because with very few exceptions, teaching a dog to relieve themselves outside is one of the easier things to do.

Understand that dogs are pack animals and in the wild, they choose to be very social and interact with a group. When you take on dog ownership, you are seen as part of the pack. Canines also prefer to sleep in a very clean, dry and warm place. This means that a dog or puppy will not purposely soil what they see as their home and sleeping area.

The key then is to take this natural preference and use it to develop a positive behavior of asking to go outside to relieve themselves. The absolute best way of getting the behavior you want is to use lots of praise and positive reinforcement.

Yelling, raising your voice, threatening and getting aggravated or physical with your puppy or dog will not nearly be as effective as positive reinforcement and consistency on your part. A dog simply has a difficult time associating an action with a consequence. It’s their desire however to make you happy so anything like going outside to the bathroom should be seen as something that makes you happy. This means lots of praise will get your puppy housebroken a lot faster than getting upset.

It also means that if your dog has an accident inside your home and you do not see it while it’s happening, you should not scold or say anything negative to your pup. And even better approach when you have to clean up a pile of poo is to ignore the dog completely. You don’t want to show your displeasure because your puppy will not have the ability to associate your unhappiness with the bathroom accident. The reason for this is that you don’t want to interact with the animal after finding something that you don’t like.

You should also face the fact that your puppy or dog will have an occasional accident during the training. It’s just a fact that there will be times when your puppy will not be able to control their bowels or bladder. If you catch them in the act of relieving themselves in your home however, simply pick them up and say firmly “NO” and take them directly outside to let them finish going to the bathroom.

Stay there with them and pay careful attention to make certain that they go. While outside, if they do indeed go potty, it’s very important that you focus on that positive and offer them lots of praise and physical contact heading for doing a good job. This helps connect bathroom business with outside and pleasing you.

It’s only through patience and understanding that you can successfully potty train your dog. Although it doesn’t take a lot of time, it’s important that you stay consistent with your training and realize that accidents will unfortunately happen.

He has a bone to chew on and also toys to play with. He has never done this before. What can I do to help him from chewing on my stuff and wrecking the house. Please HELP me before I loose my mind. Thanks

You should learn about Crate Training. It’s a great technique for you and especially for your pet. Go to Busters Canine Supply Outlet and read their Crate Training Information or their Articles. This will explain how to accomplish the technique and why it is important for your pet. Good Luck!

It is very important to housetrain your dog as early as possible. Little pups, like human babies, do not have bladder control till they are about 3 months old. So they will have to be toilet trained right from the beginning.

How do you house train a dog?

Dogs have a natural instinct for cleanliness. They don’t soil or spoil their area unless they can’t help it. There are certain methods by which you can housetrain your pet.

• Mark a living area

The dog has to be given his own little area. A dog crate comes of great use for this purpose. Though he may not take to the crate immediately, adequate training will help him get used to it as ‘his own’ place. The crate should be just the size for him, not too large. One side can be covered with waste paper, in case he loses bowel control. Do not shut him out from the family – always keep his crate in a corner inside the house, where he can easily be supervised.

• Mark his toilet area

Take the dog out first thing in the morning. Carry him out, so that he doesn’t do his thing the moment he touches the floor! Let him sniff around a place outside and decide the place for his potty. Praise him once he is done, so that he learns that the particular area is his bathroom!

In case you are not at home for long periods of time, train the pup to ease himself on a stack of newspapers you’ve placed for him. In case he messes up some other place, just clean it up and patiently train him till he learns his toilet manners!

• Walk him a bit

Spend some time with him in your backyard and wait for him to finish his potty. Letting him walk around helps him with his bowel movement. This could take anything between 5 and 50 minutes! Praise him when he completes his job. Take him out every two hours or so, or when he starts getting restless, so that he won’t unwittingly ruin your home and furniture.

• Introduce him to the whole house

Once your pet has learned to identify his living area and toilet area, he will seldom have accidents at home. Now, you can open him up to the whole house, one room at a time. Keep moving his den from room to room, while always keeping an eye on him. Once he gets comfortable, he will start considering the whole house as an extension of his den.

• Treat your pet with love and respect

An accident in the house may have happened only because your pet couldn’t help it. So do not nag or scold the pet, merely treat him with love and talk reassuringly. If the problem continues, you might want to get him checked for bladder or bowel dysfunction.

• Housetraining older dogs
The above-mentioned methods can be used to train a grown dog too. Dogs are fast learners, so he will know to mark his own area and will seldom create a mess anywhere else.

House training only involves a little time and effort on the part of the owner. When trained properly, a pet tends to keep his schedule for a lifetime. Once the dog gets old enough, he gains full control over his bladder and bowel function, so he can be left alone for long periods of time.

When you have a conference call rather it is from business to business, or business to an employee at home or abroad conducting business, it is important that the conference calling experience is productive and smooth sailing. No matter what role you play in the conference call, it is necessary that you maintain the proper etiquette for conference calls.

Before we get into the conference call etiquette, let us look at some of the things that could go wrong as a result of a bad conference call. You might not believe it, but there are many.

Here are some repercussions of a conference call gone bad:

Morale – If the proper etiquette is not followed, it might create some bad feelings between workers. You might find that it is harder to work with these employees as a result. Many people expect that their conference call will run with complete smoothness, no interruptions, and productivity, otherwise it is a complete waste of their time and yours.

Missed Deadlines – If there are constant interruptions or the conference call runs in a disorganized manner, things might be misunderstood. This could mean that an important deadline is missed because things were not correctly understood.

Misunderstandings – While this goes along with the missed deadlines, so many negative outcomes could arise from a misunderstanding. If for any reason, those on your conference call do not completely understand what you are telling them, it could result in not only missed deadlines, but a loss of customers, loss of revenue, loss of employees, or loss of business all the way around.

Getting it right the first time

Now that you know a few of the many problems that could arise from a conference call gone bad, it is time to take a look at the proper conference call etiquette. Every person on the conference call should practice these things. However, you cannot control the things that other people do or do not do; therefore, the only thing you can do is focus on yourself and your own etiquette and hope that everyone follows suit.

1.Quiet is the key – Make sure, when you are on the conference call that you are in a very quiet room, away from any disturbances. This will make sure that you hear everything that is going on and keep the misunderstandings to a minimum. It is impossible to keep the misunderstandings at bay if you have a dog barking, machines running, or people talking in the background.

2.The Telephone Equipment – Make sure that you are using a phone that will minimize the noise in the background. Some telephone and most all cell phones will pick up even the slightest noise or interference, which will not only cause troubles for you hearing the speakers, but others as well.

3.Using Telephone Technology – The mute button does wonders, but make sure you know how to use it. The mute button should be used if there is a lot of background noise that you simply cannot control or if someone is particularly talkative. Of course, make sure you know how to un-mute for when it is your turn to speak or answer a question.

4.Time – Make sure you set the conference call up in advance and let everyone know all information such as pass code or phone number. It is also necessary that you take time zones in to consideration if you have people across several time zones to include on the conference call.

5.Being on Time – If you are the conference call leader, you want to start right on time. Do not wait for others if they are late. People on the call want to start right away, because there may be other business they need to attend to. If you are simply in the call, be on time, you do not want to miss anything that might be important.

6.Introductions – Make sure that every person on the call introduces himself or herself. This will allow for building relationships and getting people to open up and feel comfortable.

7.Clarification – Not everyone will be able to tell who is who by the voice. Make sure before anyone speaks that his or her name is said first. For example, “this is Bob, could you repeat that company name again”.

8.Eating – Never eat while you are on a conference call, who wants to hear chewing in their ear? If you must get a drink of water, put the call on mute so no one will have to hear the emitted sounds. This includes chewing gum.

9.Keep on Topic – Do not fill the call with unnecessary talk. Keep to the point, because remember there may be several people on the call that have other pressing things to do.

With the above proper conference call etiquette rules, you will find that the conference calls runs in a much more smooth and efficient manner. Keeping the proper etiquette in mind while on the conference call will make the entire call that much more productive for everyone.

For some reason my dog only likes to chew on my xbox headsets. He chewed 2 of mine and one of my friends let me borrow theirs and he chewed that one up. And recently my other friend let me borrow his wireless Mic and about an hour ago he chewed it up while I was in the shower and I don’t have 50 dollars to pay him back so I’m screwed. He never chews on anything in my room unless I have a headset. I know its mainly my fault because I shouldn’t be leaving them out. I’m just really mad right now I don’t even think this is a question that can be answered but if anyone can help me please do.

Sounds like your dog needs some of his own chew toys. Dogs have a natural tendency to chew, they can’t help it and if he has nothing of his own, then it really isn’t his fault when he chews something you don’t want him to chew. You need to buy him bones or something like beef or chicken chews or beef sticks, or something that is okay for him to chew. Then scold him for chewing anything that isn’t his. By the way, at least put your expensive things up on a shelf or dresser or something when you’re not using them. Don’t know if this helps, but I hope so.

Cheating husbands leave many signs and with a bit of detective work, a wife can catch her husband with sold proof. Many wives make the mistake of hiring an expensive detective or purchasing pricey spy equipment. However, if you are aware of some of the signs of a cheating husband and know your husband’s behavior and habits well, you simply need to follow your gut instinct and employ some of the top 10 ways of how to catch a cheating husband. Most of all, be patient. Give yourself 3-4 weeks of spying time.

Pay close attention to small details and use all your senses so you don’t miss a sign of a cheating husband. Make sure you keep a log book of descriptions, dates and times of all the clues you discover. If you find a clue, make a copy of it if possible. NEVER accuse him of an affair unless you have concrete proof he was cheating because you may have to use this proof in a court of law should you pursue divorce. If you don’t have solid proof, many cheating men lie and make up stories or will call you crazy. Plan your confrontation out in your mind so you will be prepared and armed with facts and evidence. If you have children, make sure they are in a safe, protected place. In addition, don’t become a cheating wife to get revenge. It only causes more problems and will be used against you.

1. Set a trap. Cheating husbands usually cheat when their wife is out of town. Tell your husband that you are leaving for a couple of days and then wait, listen and watch. Place a recording surveillance device in your bedroom or near the phone and then listen. Park in a friend’s car with a hat and sunglasses on and follow his car or wait for someone to come to the house. Keep a camera, binoculars and a cell phone with you. Cheating husbands usually take their affair out for dinner and a rendezvous while you are gone. Give your cheating husband lots of space to make a mistake. Your husband will leave cheating signs unknowingly. Make sure you are “busy” or out of the house a lot while you are investigating. Take a long nap under your bed at lunch or in the evening or place a long recording digital tape recorder which is voice activated under the bed. This wouldn’t work if you have children or a dog.

2. Watch his cell phone. A sign of a cheating husband can be if he protects his cell phone with a password, unexpectedly ask to borrow his cell phone to make an important call. Then make a fake call, pressing as many buttons of his call log as possible to note any strange calls. Go to bathroom with phone if at all possible. Watch whether his cell phone is always turned off when with you or whether he takes unusually long to phone you back. Note the times, dates and length of any suspicious calls. Press the re-dial on the phone or *69. This is an effective way to find out who they’ve been calling.

3. Place a long-recording digital tape recorder under your cheating husband’s car seat every morning and then listen to it when you are alone. Please check the laws in your city or state to make sure it is legal to record someone in your car if they are borrowing it. The same goes for a GPS tracking device which tracks everywhere your husband’s car goes. GPS tracking devices are now made the size of a pack of chewing gum so they are easy to hide.

4. Monitor your husband’s computer usage. Does he use the computer late at night or for an unusual amount of time? Cheating husbands frequently utilize free email services such as hotmail, msn, yahoo, gmail, hushmail, etc… Check his internet web browser history for warning signs. If you suspect your husband is cheating, you can install a keystroke logger which will log every keystroke your husband types, including his passwords. There are many good ones currently for sale.

5. A sign of a cheating husband could be if he is frequenting any dating sites, create a fake profile on-line of someone you think your husband would be attracted to and then start flirting. Many wives have successfully used this technique.

6. Be careful of your cheating husband’s close friends who may cover for him because of loyalty feelings. Even if they don’t approve of your husband’s cheating ways, they may still cover for his cheating by providing an alibi for him.

7. Set booby traps in your house. If you think your cheating husband may be bringing someone into your home while you are traveling or out, set some traps. Put on a clean set of sheets and then place a crumb on the bedspread. Make sure that a dog or cat don’t move it. Then check to see if the crumb is still in the same place after your return.

8. Get your girlfriend’s to help. Sign up a willing acquaintance or girlfriend to hit on your husband at a pre-determined location to see if he will bite. It is helpful if she carries a tape recorder in her purse so you may hear him.

9. Monitor your husband’s driving habits for a month. Watch for increase in gas receipts and monitor the car’s odometer to see if there are extra unexplained miles on the car. Monitor the time he leaves for work and the time he comes home. You should be able to establish a pattern by keeping a calendar and noting the times. If your husband claims to be working late, check paycheck stubs to verify his overtime. If your husband explains a late return home as a result of having to drive out of town on business, yet the mileage on the car indicates less than ten miles driven, you’ll have caught your cheating husband in a lie which may be due to his adultery.

10. Paper signs of a cheating husband can include unexplained receipts, more frequent ATM withdrawals, and unexplained credit card charges. Note any strange dates and times. Is there a restaurant charge when he should have been at work? Check his business deductions if possible.

If you have tried some of the above tips on how to catch a cheating husband and have been unsuccessful, try playing your poker face. Pretend like you know something and give him 24 hours to come clean or else… However, only resort to this after you have tried all other means because if you accuse him, your husband will know you are on to him, deny any wrong doing and cover his cheating tracks better next time.

my dog is a germane-lab mix and we have many chew toys for her but she still will bit are feet dose any1 have any shuggestion to have her stop thay dosn’t cost to much?

When puppies interact with each other, they learn how to socialize and play. When a puppy nibbles on another dog, and the other dog responds with a yelp, the puppy learns that its action was too hard and basically ruined the play. If the first puppy continues this action, the second dog generally leaves. The next time around, it bites less hard so that it can continue to enjoy the play.

The best way to train your Standard Poodle pup in how to interact and play with humans is to employ the same methods that dogs naturally understand. Biting should not be discouraged, only trained correctly.

In a word YES!

And being an intelligent dog has its own advantages and
drawbacks.

Here are a few tips for making your Pit Bulls training
experience fun and rewarding for both of you…

Pit Bulls are quick to learn.

This also means that Pit Bulls have a mind of their own, which
would sometimes show up as stubbornness. Thus, they can be
harder to train than most other dogs due to their independence.

As an owner you must understand Pit Bull’s
intelligence/stubbornness, handle it well, and you can avoid
problems in disciplining and training this unique breed.

As owners, you must maintain respect between you and your Pit
Bulls. Respect goes both ways.

Respect their intelligence. Love them. Set the rules for
behavior. Trust them. There is no need for extreme measures to
show Pit Bulls that you are the top dog.

Handle their hard-headedness with patient and don’t give up on
their training.

And because they are stubborn, conventional obedience training
may not be the most effective way to get them to listen to you.
Utilize their high play drive for more effective obedience
training.

Conduct “play training” where by the training tasks are made
into fun games and the Pit Bull’s high play drive is used as
motivation. There are a lot of really good books available on
this type of training.

Basically Pit Bulls are intelligent and could be stubborn. So
you have to outwit them! While training your Pit Bull, you have
to make him WANT to do what you want him to. You can’t make him
do stuff unless it is FUN. Otherwise you are wasting both your
time and his.

Your Pit Bull’s favorite activities should become training, so
that training becomes his favorite activity.

Pit Bulls LOVE to play! You will have the happiest Pit Bull in
the world and most obedient if you will just spend some time,
giving them your undivided attention everyday. Otherwise they
feel ignored, bored and will tear or chew things up and will not
listen to you.

Pit Bulls have very powerful jaws. This makes buying toys that
last, not the easiest thing to do.

PawsUp Pet Supply.com has a program for choosing appropriate
toys for your dog’s size, energy level and chewing temperament
means toys last longer which saves you money. Start by
identifying your dog’s breed then click to view our
recommendations.

“They [dogs] never talk about themselves but listen to you while
you talk about yourself, and keep up an appearance of being
interested in the conversation.” – Jerome K. Jerome
